On May 18, 2025, the \u201cAutism Support Point R\u0113zekne\u201d organized a trip to C\u0113sis Medieval Castle, the Holy Spring (Sv\u0113tavots), the \u0100rai\u0161i Archaeological Settlement, and \u0100rai\u0161i Windmill. On the way, we enjoyed delicious lunches and dinners at the caf\u00e9 Pas\u0113dn\u012bca and the bistro B\u0113rzkrogs.<\/p>\n
Upon arriving in C\u0113sis, we had lunch at Pas\u0113dn\u012bca, where we enjoyed our meal before heading out on our adventure… At the medieval castle of C\u0113sis, we walked with lit candles that illuminated the dark passages and high, narrow stairs, making us feel as if we had truly traveled back in time.<\/p>\n
Although we were tired, we continued to the Holy Spring, where we were welcomed by a graceful 99-year-old grandmother who told us about the rituals of the spring and its history. Then we experienced it ourselves\u2014this beautifully maintained, peaceful place. We walked barefoot through the sacred stream and filled our bottles with holy water to take with us.<\/p>\n
Feeling relaxed, we headed to the \u0100rai\u0161i lake settlement, where we explored some of the oldest human dwellings. It was incredibly interesting and unusual. We then visited the \u0100rai\u0161i Windmill, where we learned how the mill works, explored it, and enjoyed the beautiful nature\u2014the yellow \u201ccarpet\u201d of blooming rapeseed fields. On the way back, we had dinner at the B\u0113rzkrogs bistro.<\/p>\n
